lethenty mill

These images are from Lethenty Mill in Aberdeenshire which has been producing quality, traditional Scottish wooden furniture for over thirty years. They also run woodworking courses. The owner, Allan Fyfe, is passionate about traditional hand and machine tools and where possible uses them in the creation of their bespoke kitchens and custom furniture.

The aim of this folio of images is to capture the atmosphere of the old mill and with it the passion for creating beautifully crafted pieces of furniture. Even the machinery which is used in the day to day running of the mill has, within the atmosphere of creativity, skill, time and patience, a beauty of it's own.
